The nominal program fee covers 27 credits of course study. Students are required to pay HK$7,000 per credit for taking additional course(s) or auditing course(s) beyond the nominal 27-credit requirement.

The Master of Public Management (MPM) Program prepares students for senior management roles in organizations providing public services or having frequent interactions with the public sector. By equipping them with the skills and knowledge to cope with the increasingly dynamic and complex challenges of the public sector, they would develop managerial capacities, such as the analytical skills, managerial competence, and political acumen, that are essential for successful career in public sector organizations. Given the importance of technology innovation and sustainability, the program provides the students with an interdisciplinary study with a strong emphasis on the policy, management and governance issues concerning technological innovation and sustainability.
On successful completion of the program, graduates will be able to:
- Deploy, in a variety of different policy-relevant contexts, the necessary academic and management tools to develop their leadership potential;
- Analyze and manage complex multi-dimensional policy and managerial issues; and
- Demonstrate a strong appreciation and capacity in policy analysis and management while addressing analytical, operational and political challenges.

Credit Transfer
Subject to the approval of the Program Director, students may apply for course substitution or credit transfer of no more than 12 credits.

Students will have the flexibility to choose from a wide range of courses based on their needs.
i. Elective courses offered by PPOL:
Students can take any PPOL postgraduate courses to meet the elective course requirement.
ii. Electives offered by other departments/divisions:
* For the highly technical course(s), students will be approved to take the course(s) with advices sought from the Program Director.
# Admission to EEMT course(s) will be subject to approval by EEMT course instructor(s) and the MSc (EEM) Program Director on a case-by-case basis.
Subject to the approval of the Program Director, a maximum of two postgraduate courses outside the above list may be taken as “Electives offered by other departments/divisions”.

Students are required to complete PPOL 5770.

Remarks
- Full-time students should take a minimum of 12 credits and up to a maximum of 15 credits of coursework per regular term.
- Part-time students may take a maximum of 9 credits in each term.

Applicants seeking admission to a master's degree program should have obtained a bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution, or an approved equivalent qualification.
Applicants have to fulfill English Language requirements with one of the following proficiency attainments:

TOEFL-Revised paper-delivered test: 60 (total scores for Reading, Listening and Writing sections)
