- AISC 6770Professional Development for Interdisciplinary Programs[0-1-0:1]DescriptionThis one-credit course aims at providing research postgraduate students basic training in ethics, teaching skills, research management, career development, and related professional skills. This course consists of a number of mini-workshops. Graded PP, P or F.
- AISC 6950Interdisciplinary Project[0-4 credit(s)]DescriptionAn independent project on selected interdisciplinary topics carried out under the supervision of a faculty member. The course may be repeated once for credit. Enrollment requires approval of course instructor. Maybe graded by letter, P/F for different offerings.Intended Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of the course, students will be able to:
- 1.Develop and apply self-learning and task management skills to effectively manage an independent project on a specific interdisciplinary topic.
- 2.Critically analyze a selected topic to identify, formulate and solve problems and apply solutions to practical implementations.
- 3.Apply the interdisciplinary approach in reviewing the latest developments, technologies or management strategies of the chosen topic.
- 4.Communicate effectively in writing, using accurate technical and scientific terminology, and demonstrating logical organization of relevant content and information.
