It will also provide academic advising to students, to enhance their job hunting skills and, to improve their communication skills. - IIMP 4970Interdisciplinary Industrial Project6 Credit(s)Exclusion(s)IIMP 4980, IIMP 4990DescriptionStudents in this project will be engaged in practical hands-on training for a period of at least 6 months, in a form of a full-time or part-time internship or co-op program in an organization or company relevant to the students’ area of interest. Students are required to complete a final year project under the supervision of an industrial supervisor and a faculty member during the co-op. Students who are interested to take this course must obtain prior approval from the IMAC. For IIM students only. May be graded PP.Intended Learning Outcomes

- IIMP 4980Interdisciplinary Capstone Project I3 Credit(s)DescriptionEach IIM student is required to complete a capstone project before graduation. This is the first course of a two-term project in which the student can synthesize and apply skills and knowledge learnt from the program. The project is conducted under the supervision of the student’s Individualized Major Advisory Committee (IMAC). For IIM students only. Maybe graded PP.Intended Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of the course, students will be able to:
- 1.Develop and integrate the knowledge in the students’ field of study
- 2.Apply knowledge, tools and techniques learnt from the courses taken to a variety of tasks relevant to the students’ area of study
- 3.Interpret and critically analyze data and draw conclusion from the information collected
- 4.Analyze a problem and utilize the knowledge learnt to solve it
- 5.Work independently and proactive in the execution of the tasks
- 6.Present the related knowledge in written and oral format with rationale and logical organization effectively
- 7.Self-evaluate their own learning progress and develop problem-solving skills
