  A compulsory course for students enrolling in the Dual Degree Program in Technology and Management throughout their five years of study. This course is designed to provide academic advising to students, to enhance their personal and professional skills, to improve their understanding of latest business and technology development and to improve their communication skills. Activities involve executive forums, workshops and mentoring program. Graded P or F.

  Case-based Problem Solving

  Description

  This course consists of two parts. One part uses short written cases to develop students' problem-solving skills with an emphasis on basic frameworks and tools, including how to structure solutions in written and oral format. Another part focuses on improving problematic product design concepts by use of Design Thinking methodology to sharpen understanding of customers' hidden pains and needs for higher value propositions. All cases involve business strategies and technologies. For T&M-DDP students only.

  Special Project

  Description

  A special project supervised by one or a group of faculty members. Normally, a project proposal and a final report are required. May be repeated for credits if the projects have different emphases or cover different topics. Enrollment in the project course requires approval of the course instructor.
